Preserving history. Honoring legacy. Building bridges.
The Bhutan Nepal Foundation (BNF) is a nonprofit organization with its head office based in Nepal. We preserve and promote the historical and cultural relationship between Bhutan and Nepal, and honor the history, experiences, and legacy of Bhutanese refugees.
Our head office is located in Mechinagar - 11, Dhaijan, Jhapa, adjoining the Laxminaryan Devasthan. We maintain associated offices in Bhutan, India, and overseas countries where the Bhutanese diaspora resides.

“Truth is essential for national reconciliation, dialogue, and constructive diplomacy. Without truth, there can be no lasting peace.”Dr. D. N. S. Dhakal, PhDFounder & Chair, Bhutan Nepal Foundation
To preserve and promote the historical and cultural relationship between Bhutan and Nepal, while honoring the history, experiences, and legacy of Bhutanese refugees through documentation, education, and advocacy.
A world where the Bhutanese diaspora is recognized and connected, where truth enables healing, and where the cultures of Bhutan and Nepal thrive through mutual understanding.
Chaired by Dr. D. N. S. Dhakal and supported by dedicated members, the Foundation will eventually be managed by active members from Bhutan, Nepal, and the global Bhutanese diaspora under the rubric of Non-Resident Bhutanese (NRB).
