Oral History Documentation Workshop

A hands-on workshop training community members in oral history collection and documentation techniques.

Participants learned interview methodologies, audio/video recording best practices, ethical considerations in documenting sensitive histories, and archival standards for preserving collected materials.

The workshop was part of BNF’s ongoing effort to train community historians who can help document and preserve the stories of first-generation refugees before they are lost.

Over 25 participants from various resettlement communities attended, creating a network of trained documentarians across the diaspora.
